In January of 2019, when I was first starting to pull together my first pop-up location of Shimmer, the very first order I ever placed was for Lola Jane Naturals. I had already started using their makeup remover and I was hooked! Then, I started reading about the brand and it’s creator and my confidence grew even more. Laura Justice is self-described as not only the founder, but the formulator and heart behind the brand. If you’ve ever used her products, it’s evident in everything from the thoughtful packaging to the high quality ingredients, that she is a leader in her field. Not only am I proud to have her products on my shelves, I also feel incredibly grateful to Laura for being so immensely organized, accommodating and kind in the way she runs her business. She was generous enough to give us a closer look into her inspiration and the journey helped shape the brand into what it is today.
Hi, I’m Laura- the founder, formulator and the heart behind Lola Jane Naturals. After practicing Massage Therapy and holistic health for nearly ten years, my career was cut short after suffering multiple miscarriages and then giving birth to our son at only 25 weeks gestation. After 4 months in the NICU and as he grew stronger, we sought as many natural remedies to help him as we could and found essential oils to be hugely beneficial. I formulated my first product, now our best-selling Body Butter, and it worked to soothe all his skin irritations- eczema, cradle cap and diaper rash. It worked so well that friends and family began requesting it and from there, Lola Jane was born. My company is one of many blessings and silver linings to come from our birth story.
I’m passionate about stripping out excess where you can by integrating products with fewer ingredients into your daily routine. I believe we are all doing the best that we can and I like to encourage taking baby steps toward a more mindful and natural lifestyle and not feeling like healthy swaps have to be “all or nothing”. I have formulated each Lola Jane product to make this process effortless and to prove that you really only need 4 incredible elements from nature to make a lip balm or a makeup remover you can’t live without!
