I want you to wear LESS makeup...No, Really!

Rethinking Your Beauty Routine

I love watching people’s reactions when I tell them that I actually want them to wear less makeup. Hear me out! The goal isn’t to pile on more and more products to achieve a flawless look—it’s about wearing the right makeup, applied in the right way. And that’s exactly where we come in.

One of the biggest requests I get is for a creaseless concealer or foundation. I hate to break it to you, but that doesn’t actually exist. Makeup moves with your skin—it’s supposed to! But instead of fighting it with heavy layers of product, the key is to choose high-quality formulas and apply them strategically.

For example, rather than layering on tons of concealer and foundation to cover dark circles or redness, start with a small amount of color corrector. A peach or salmon-toned corrector under the eyes cancels out darkness, meaning you can use less concealer on top. The result? Better coverage, a more natural finish, and way less risk of creasing.

This approach applies to everything—whether it’s finding the perfect foundation that enhances your skin rather than masking it, or using the right techniques to get long-lasting, natural-looking results. Our makeup lessons are designed to teach you exactly that! We’ll walk you through how to choose and apply products that actually work for your skin, so you can achieve a polished, effortless look—without the layers.

Another common mistake is over-powdering to keep makeup in place. While powder is great for setting, too much can leave your skin looking dry and accentuate fine lines. Instead, focus on using a light dusting of setting powder in key areas, like the T-zone, and opt for a hydrating setting spray to lock everything in without a cakey finish.

Skincare also plays a huge role in how your makeup looks. Well-prepped skin requires less makeup and helps everything blend seamlessly. A great moisturizer and primer suited to your skin type can make all the difference, ensuring your foundation sits beautifully and lasts longer.
