5 Self-Tanning Tips

Looking for a pick-me-up? The perfect summer glow could be just the lift you’re looking for! BUT a patchy, streaky tan would definitely have the exact opposite effect. Follow these tips for your best glow ever!

  1. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. Dark patches are caused by dry skin absorbing more product than other areas. Be sure to focus on knees, elbow, ankles and other commonly dry areas.

  2. Start from the bottom and work your way up. This will help prevent uneven marks from bending over.

  3. Be extra careful with your face. Apply a dime-sized amount to the areas that naturally tan like your forehead, bridge of your nose and chin. Blend outward. Naturally drier areas like the top of your lip and corners of your nose tend to absorb more product, so don’t be too heavy-handed!

  4. Wash your hands immediately after application, paying close attention to your palms.

  5. Allow your skin to dry completely before dressing. Now is not the time to rush!
