As someone who loves all things beauty, I've tried my fair share of skincare, makeup and hair products over the years. I knew deep down that there were products out there with safer ingredients that wouldn't make me second guess - should I really be using this?! Shimmer is the place that turned my head a bit more to the clean and ethical beauty world, and I'm so happy it did! I've found some of my all-time favorite products at the shop that now never leave my makeup bag or purse. I've created a list of my Top 5 products that I can't live without, and I hope you won't be able to either!
One Love Organics carries so many products I love, but the one that really stands out is their Skin Dew Coconut Water Cream. It's amazing when I need a boost of moisture. Even with my combination skin, it's perfect at hydrating my drier areas and absorbing quickly into my t-zone. I use the Skin Dew as the last step in my night-time routine, but it works just as well as a base before applying my makeup in the morning.
Clove and Hallow's Liquid Skin Tint is hands down one of the best foundations I own! The formula is lightweight and buildable, which feels amazing on your skin. Perfect for those mornings when I want something sheer and just as perfect on a night out if I'm looking for medium coverage. It's one of the products I enjoy recommending most to shoppers new to the makeup world!
I could not talk about my Top 5 without mentioning the Heart Beat Cheek Color, in shade Head Rush, from PYT. It's most certainly one of my Holy Grail products from Shimmer! No matter the season, the peachy coral color with a hint of golden shimmer adds the perfect subtle glow when I need it. I rave about this product every time I'm at the shop!
One of my favorite lippies is the Mango Lip Honey, in shade chilli, from Ere Perez! The spicy nude shade gives my lips a natural, subtle color. The formula is never sticky, which is a must for me when wearing a gloss. I like wearing it alone or over my nude lipsticks for an extra pop! It even travels with me in my purse everywhere I go.
Aside from makeup and skincare, I've found another one of my favs while browsing at the shop. The Signature Detergent from The Laundress is my go-to for keeping my clothes clean and smelling fresh! For me, it's heavenly for my sensitive skin because it's non-irritating like other detergents can be. I've been using it now for quite a few months and I won't be going back to any other detergent!
